For one reason or another i cannot get that out of my head. I guess i just have been listening to too much Neutral Milk Hotel. But then again, exactly how can you listen to too much? The answer kids is never, never. I wouldn't say that Communist Daughter is my favorite, but it just, i can't get it out of my head. I am more partial to Two Headed Boy Prt. Two. Oh Comel or 10. Things of that sort.
Okay, yesterday had to be one of the longest days of my life. No, that's not the correct way to describe it. That makes it sound excuciating. And that simply isn't the case. When i say long, it's only because so much happend. More than in the normal day of the average Chelsea. It was jam packes with delicious happenings and interesting stories. To start, we have to go back to six in the morning....
Yes, I did wake up at six o'clock in the morning. I had to go do concessions at the Notre Dame game for choir. I know, i sold out to the man, but hey, i need that twenty bucks towards my trip. Three and a half hours and twenty bucks plus five dollars worth of free food equals one happy chelsea. Moving on, yes heather came and got me and we found white parking lot with no trouble. But, white parking lot is one hell of a trip from the joyce center. So, we had to walk all the way down juniper road and into the campus before we get there. We arrived in white parking lot at about 7:30 am and people were just opening up their kegs and cracking into their beers. Keep this in mind, it comes into play later on in the story.... But, we arrived at our destination a little after 8:00. Definately walked for half an hour. And that was at a brisk pace. Nice exercise, it really was a beautiful morning and would do it all the time if i lived so close to the campus. We arrived and worked concessions for the three hours and did cash registar the entire time. It was just really easy. Much like work only the people were friendly and i must say a little buzzed for so early in the morning. I was able to meet Tony Rice, the old QB for notre dame and he signed me (wouldn't you like to know where.) and that was my time at the concessions.
So me and heather were done and decided to go home. I had plans for later in the afternoon. She invited me to her parents and some other people's tailgate, i had time, we were going to go, but she couldn't reach her parents on their cell phone. Oh well, to the car we went. This time we found there is a bus that goes directly from white field parking to the joyce center and hopped aboard. When we got back to white field, everyone was DRUNK!!! there was beer pong being played and assorted other drinking games. We found her car with noi trouble and were just kind of worried as to how we were going to make it out with all of these people. But, our worries were quieted quickly with the onslot of another bigger problem. The car wouldn't start. Turns out heahter had left her lights on and now, no battery. Hott damn. So we were wondering what we were going to do... it was a time of stress.... we both sat down and had a quiet smoke while i turned to the car next to me and asked if i could have a beer. He asked me what team i was rooting for. For a little information, this guy had his entire bus decked out in spartans paraphanalia. I said michigan, he said hell yea and i got a miller light. So, sitting there in the grass with a beer and a cigarette looking quite pathetic, these two michigan fans came over and asked up if our battery was dead. We answered in the affirmative. The told us the same thin had happend to them and that if we went into their van they would show us how we could fix it. heather was raped but i got away, i'm just kidding, that last part was untrue. But their battery had died too and the guy parked behind us jumped their car. So he did the same for us. It was such a relief. We thanked them very much ect ect and we pulled away....
Problem number two had to be adressed. The people in the road were not willing to move out of the way. They were drunk and rowdy and Heather had to be a little firm to get out of there. It was creepy because as we passed through a large group of people they would sink back around our came and pound on the sides. It was like being in a huge mob, well we kind of were in a huge mob, but i never knew it was going to be like that... weird. So we did make it out after almost hitting about ten people and then we were confused about how we were going to get out of there. I went out and asked how it was we were going to be able to leave and the man told me that as of right now it was a one way only and that one way was in. So we would have to wait until kick off to leave. That was at two thirty and it was only one! Shit, so we parked the car in front of this other one and took off to try and find heathers parents' tailgate. She finally got a hold of them on the phone and they were over by zolemans tires. Shit! So we jumped back on the bus, following her moms directions, we ended up right back at the gate we had left an hour ago at the joyce center. Holy damn. It was only about a five to ten minute walk to the house her parents were tailgateing at. That was an adventure let me tell you.
While we were there, heather was trying like none other to have her parents let her drink. I was along for the ride. Her mom was all for it and her dad was not going to let her. Needless to say, her mom snuck us jello shots made with something that tasted very familiar... everclear. Wow, so that was a good time. I was sufficiently buzzed because i was able to consume about twice as much as heather because she had to drive me home. Her mom asked me if i just wanted to spend the night at her house, but i already had plans for the lake even though i am sure getting trashed would have been great. So about an hour after heather had four shots and i had roughly eight she drove me home. It was an easy ride. No traffic everything went well. So i get home and go straight to my bathroom before anyone realizes that my breath smells like beer and cigarettes. I take a shower and get ready to leave. I am done by about three three thirty and dillon gives me a call. He askes me where i have been....
I just laughed. I told him i wasn't interested in going over it on the phone and that he should just come and get me. So he did. We went up to the lake house and i helped get the rooms ready for the winter. We did a lot of cleaning and his parents gave strict instructions to use up the fire wood because they didn't want it to go to waste. We weren't about to disobey them. They have this beautiful fire place and after the sun went down it did get pretty chilly pretty fast. So we had a fire and he ordered pizza. In all of his infinate wisdom he also brought me a present. Actually it was a present for the both of us. Guess what it fucking was? Everclear. I don't know how everyone found out this is my favorite present, but congratulations to all of you. And thank you as well. He also brought something called mudslide which was very delicious. It tastes just like chocolate milk with a little mint aftertaste. So we had that and listened to music. We talked in his living room listening to music, drinkin, eatin pizza, and having a good time for the rest of the night. I think at around five we fell asleep for an hour or so and both woke up again. As soon as we opened our eyes we just laughed at eachother. We finshed off what was left and talked for another couple hours while we cleaned up. I took a shower while he was talking to his parents on the phone. He was hoping we could hang out on the lake today, but he forgot about his brothers soccer game so he brought me home. It was a beautiful drive home and i do so love the fall...
It was a beautiful weekend. I really wish that i could have gone down to purdue, but i guess everything happens for a reason. I really did just need to have fun this weekend. And i did have just a grand old time. I can't wait to hear all about Purdue when brandon gets back, but i am not waiting for it. I am having too much of a good time to slow down now. I think I might call up the kids and see what they are doing this afternoon, perhaps we will see a movie or something.. anything could happen and i hope it does.
Have you ever noticed the evolution in a person through the music that they listen to? I mean even at the beginning of this post i was listening to neutral milk and i think it kind of effected the way that i wrote and felt about what was that was happening. Now i am listeing to Iron and Wine and it's completely different. I feel newer. In a better way. Improved almost. I hope that this feeling never goes away. I know that it will, but hot damn. Today is going to be one of those fat days, but even so, this kind of fatness is refreshing. It's newer and better and i am going to take a nap. Enjoy everything, know that this is the life. Thank god for fall.

chelsea why is it that the las two links in your link section both lead to my page...i'm honored by the latter of the two, but the first should be killed.
sorry to hurt your pride, but it wasn't intended that way. I linked it so that it would go to yours and linked it so that it would go to mine. But unfortunately, there is a problem with the password that doesn't allow acess to the intended page. so whomever has a xanga account and they click on those links, it will end up on their home page... hehe i didn't even notice and i am too fat to change it.
I totally told you that your links were retarded a good month ago. You didn't listen...nice job fatty.
